Intelligent Energy appoints John Maguire as Chief Financial Officer

Intelligent Energy, the global clean power systems company, has today announced the appointment of John Maguire as Chief Financial Officer. Maguire brings a wealth of Board level experience of listed and unlisted technology rich companies, having conducted strategic planning and successful financial management for growing businesses across the globe.

Maguire joins from Etisalat Nigeria, one of four national mobile operators in the country, where his responsibilities included the negotiation and delivery of a national 3G licence. He was previously CFO at THUS Group plc, and worked in a number of senior positions, including as Vice President Japan and Asia, at Cable and Wireless before its acquisition of THUS. He takes over from Rian Urding, who will concentrate on his role as Chief Financial Officer at Emerald Automotive, a US based low carbon fleet vehicle provider co-founded by Intelligent Energy.

As Chief Financial Officer at Intelligent Energy, Maguire will assist the Board and Chief Executive Officer in strategic planning, financial management, cost benefit analysis and the acquisition of new funding.
