A Short Course in Fuel Cell Technology

Scribner Associates is pleased to announce that it will again be co-sponsoring the highly regarded Short Course in Fuel Cell Technology presented by the Florida Solar Energy Center, February 6-10, 2011.

The course covers both basic and applied aspects of fuel cell technology through integrated lecture and laboratory sessions. Lectures present the theory of fuel cell operation and outline the principles behind state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques while complementary laboratory sessions provide hands-on training of fuel cell and electrochemical testing, and performance evaluation for all participants.

Dr. Kevin Cooper, Principal Scientist at Scribner Associates, will present on the theory and application of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) to fuel cell research. The lecture will cover concept and sources of impedance, equivalent circuit modeling, and practical aspects of EIS measurement of fuel cells. During the corresponding lab session, course participants will conduct EIS measurements and analyze the results.
